Isabella Perrin
Isabella is in the third year of her undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado Boulder, pursuing dual degrees in Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology and Public Health. As a member of the Dowell and Allen Lab at CU Boulder, she studies transcriptional regulation and the effects of aneuploidy on transcriptional output, hoping to better understand potential new biomarkers for various health conditions. Isabella serves as the president of S.C.O.P.E. (Science Community Outreach Program and Education), where she works to connect younger students with engaging, hands-on science lessons. Isabella is passionate about her role in the scientific community, where she hopes to contribute through scientific research in biology as well as function as an advocate for supporting future scientists. Isabella hopes to emphasize the idea that inclusivity and equity in science are essential for making the field rigorous and accessible. In her free time, Isabella plays the violin in CU Boulder’s orchestra and loves to read.
