Meghan is driven by curiosity and the belief that science can help people — motivated by questions that don’t yet have answers and by the possibility her research could contribute to better treatments and a greater understanding of disease.

Meet the Scientists
Talaina (she/her) is Pacific Northwest born and raised with a deep connection to the Central Oregon Coast. With a background in communications & sociology, she joined CPC as a board member in 2024 before becoming its first director.
Jamie (she/they) is a Yachatian local and two-decade veteran of marine education — from the Oregon Coast Aquarium to Disney World’s The Seas. She leads tidepool tours and is a photographer with Girl In Water Photography.
