Talaina King Executive Director, Cape Perpetua Collaborative

Talaina (she/her) is Pacific Northwest born and raised with a deep connection to the Central Oregon Coast. With a background in communications & sociology, she joined CPC as a board member in 2024 before becoming its first director.

Jamie Kish Program Associate & Tidepool Ambassador, CPC

Jamie (she/they) is a Yachatian local and two-decade veteran of marine education — from the Oregon Coast Aquarium to Disney World’s The Seas. She leads tidepool tours and is a photographer with Girl In Water Photography.

Cape Perpetua Collaborative

We cultivate collaboration across communities, disciplines, and generations to inspire care, understanding, and action in alignment with the ecosystems and cultures of Cape Perpetua, from the land to the sea.

JP Flores, PhD Phanstiel Lab · UNC Chapel Hill

JP studies how the genome folds in 3D and how that folding changes under stress — work that connects basic biology to how cells respond to their environment. He’s also the co-founder of Science for Good and the Brewing Scientists initiative.
